My Responsibilities
My role within IntraOrbis is Finance, HR and Office Manager which requires me to oversee multiple elements within the back office.
My journey began in October 2004, I had worked with Bob within the Essex Police, starting as a Transcriber for Special Operations transcriptions and then taking on the increasing administration duties.
Growth as a company
As IntraOrbis grew and our investigative offerings spread across the globe so did my role within the company. In 2011, I took on the responsibilities of Office Manager.
Best in Class
My main focus has been on improving processes, making sure our back-office functions are ‘best in class’ ready to support the company’s growth. Incorporating current management platforms and pioneering new case management systems has been a key part of this journey.
As IO expanded and evolved, so did my role, which now encompasses amongst other things, all HR functions.
Since 2016 I’ve also been responsible for our financial management, leading to my promotion to Finance Manager. These strategic requirements in refining our operational and back-office infrastructure have led to significant achievements, including the recognition of our commitment to excellence with Investors in People accreditation, as well as the attainment of ISO9001 and Cyber Essentials certifications.
Challenges
Over the years, the challenge has been to maintain our market share and profitability while embracing new systems and innovative work practices. Our goal has been to enhance efficiency, attract fresh talent, stimulate new ideas and broaden our appeal to new clients while expanding our range of offerings.
Work hard and reap the rewards
I genuinely love what I do! At IntraOrbis, our ethos has always been about enjoying our work, working hard, and reaping the rewards.
In addition to my core responsibilities, I also take on the enjoyable task of organising our team events. Team work and resilience are the cornerstones of our success, and we celebrate this through a variety of regular team building events, ranging from trips to the zoo to creative activities like drumming and escape rooms, not to mention scenic river trips.
